Instructions to Authors
Authors are invited to submit original scholarly manuscripts that fall within the aims and scope of Nineteenth Century Prose. Submissions should make a clear contribution to the study of nineteenth-century prose, literary history, intellectual culture, or related areas of research.
Manuscript Types
- Original research articles
- Review essays
- Critical studies
- Scholarly notes or shorter contributions, where appropriate
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in clear academic English and should follow a consistent citation and reference style. Authors should ensure that the manuscript is carefully proofread before submission.
Submissions should normally include:
- Title of the manuscript
- Author name, affiliation, and contact information
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Main text
- References or works cited
- Author declaration, where required
Originality
Manuscripts must be original and must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and that permissions are obtained where necessary.
Submission Process
Authors should submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. All submissions will undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and quality requirements will be sent for peer review.
