New Bibliographic Controls for Victorian Periodicals
Abstract
Proclaims these two volumes worthy successors to the editors’ earlier work on Victorian periodicals. Summarizes the essays in each volume, noting inconsistencies in analysis that make some more valuable to scholars than others. Nevertheless, judges these works important assets for those wishing to understand the importance of periodical literature both in England and throughout the British Empire.
