Abstract

Has great praise for this four-volume set intended to serve as source books for a course in Victorian religion. Highlights some of the best essays, many by editor Gerald Parsons. Commends the editors for including work published elsewhere in highly specialized journals. Faults them for failing to include anything about women’s religious practices or about the missionary movement.
