Review of Norbert Kohl, Oscar Wilde: The Works of a Conformist Rebel

Authors

  • Lawrence Danson

Abstract

Finds the work of limited value because it was originally published too early to take advantage of theoretical tools that provide more systematic methods of examining literary texts. Acknowledges Kohl’s thoroughness in dealing with Wilde’s work, and praises Wilson for the quality of the translation.
