Abstract

Briefly sketches the influence of the father of Pre-Raphaelite poets Dante Gabriel and Christina Rossetti. Translates Gabriele Rossetti’s 1840 essay on the secret societies that had existed in the late Middle Ages when the Catholic Church was exercising particularly harsh repression of heresy.
