Review of Paul Barolsky, Walter Pater’s Renaissance

Abstract

Judges Barolsky’s book a useful if limited introduction to Pater’s art criticism, but has greater praise for the Keefes’ study of Pater’s use of Greek and Roman myth in his writings. Believes the latter work will be of lasting value to Pater scholars.
