Ruskin’s Apocalypse
Abstract
Extensive examination of Fitch’s study, which Finley calls a fine work, well produced by the press, but ultimately not fully satisfying. Believes Fitch tries to do too much in discussing all of Ruskin’s work, but finds his insights into Ruskin’s role as a doomsday prophet of the Industrial Revolution quite valuable. Believes Fitch’s commentary on Ruskin’s middle period is especially useful to scholars.
