Finds the book full of meticulous scholarship but marred by crude, dogmatic judgments of Browning’s and the Victorians’ ideas of authenticity. Claims Korg’s judgments of Browning’s poetry are seriously flawed by his own inflexible ideas about the relationship between fact and imagination.
