Careful study of a manuscript in the British Library demonstrating how attention to punctuation and capitalization can illuminate meaning. Acknowledges important readings of the poem by David DeLaura and Dwight Culler, but claims the poem is a more complex commentary on Shakespeare than either of them suggests.
